The Black Moods play raw, amplified rock & roll. A classic power trio for the modern world, they turn the genre’s timeless ingredients – electric guitar, anthemic hooks, and percussive punch – into a sound that’s both contemporary and climactic.

Born in the Arizona desert and reared on stages across North America, The Black Moods began building a national audience thanks to their relentless touring schedule, which found the Phoenix-based group sharing shows with Shinedown, Jane’s Addiction, 311, Godsmack, and Collective Soul to name a few. That audience rose to new heights with 2020’s “Sunshine”, an album whose combination of guitar-driven muscle and melody helped The Black Moods send four hit singles into the Top 40 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

The journey continues with “Into The Night” and another top 40 Billboard hit single with “Saturday Night”. Both albums produced by Grammy Award nominee Johnny Karkazis, “Into The Night” is an album felt as much as heard, rooted in the stomp of drummer Chico Diaz’s kick drum, the pulse of Jordan Hoffman’s bass, and the larger-than-life presence of frontman Josh Kennedy. Along the way, The Black Moods even found time to cut a track with legendary producer/engineer Eddie Kramer (Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones) laying groundwork for new material yet to come.

The band recently collaborated with Robby Krieger of the Doors in his L.A. studio to re-record the song “Roadhouse Blues”, also adding the vocal talents of alternative singer/songwriter Diamante to the mix. The single and video were released November of 2023. They have currently been working on a new album in Los Angeles while touring North America. The Black Moods single “Heaven” is slated to come out spring of 2024.
